The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil met a group of students of the Government Law College, Mumbai at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on December 11, 2009. The students while meeting and interacting with the President were keen to know about her days at the College in the 1960's. The President recalled her student days at the College and said they were busy days. This was because she was elected to the Maharahtra Legislative Assembly, while still completing her law studies there. The President added that she felt very fulfilled when she got her Law Degree in 1965. The students also asked the President about her impression of her recent sortie on the Sukhoi 30 MKI and her message to the youth.
